Known General Issues

We will be updating these threads when necessary. If you think you found a new bug with Skulls of the Shogun, check to see if a thread has already been created, and if not, please create a new one. Thanks!

Crash in Murderous Moats

If the game quits on you while playing this level, this related to summoning Oni with the Salamander Monk, in the third section of the level with the blue general Kurokawa.

We have a fix for this crash ready for our first patch, but in the meantime it's possible to avoid it if it's blocking your progress.

Simply don't summon any Oni and that should prevent the possibility of a crash.

Remember, if you do run into a crash, you can load the autosave of your last turn via the Campaign->Load Game menu (it will be the first save in the list).

In general these are fixed and being tested right now (unless mentioned otherwise).

General bugs
* A physics bug/collision bug where units stop being able to move (typically followed by a crash).
* The crash that can happen in Murderous Moats (can currently be worked around by not summoning oni in that level).
* A couple other random crashes that are more rare (typically a multi-threading issue, and you'll just see them once, they'll go away after you restart).

XBox 360 Specific & Skulls Online
* An out of sync issue that can happen after a while of playing a Skulls Online match typically just on Zealous Zamboni, it's because of an issue with the cleansing shrines.
* An issue that can prevent a Skulls Online match from starting if you're playing a second Ranked match against the same people (so there have to be only 2-4 people online as typically you're matched with new people).
* If a dead player exits a Skulls Online, the game may not be completeable
* Right now, a ranked leaderboard point is only awarded if 2 or more humans remain in the match. Due to people quitting frequently, we'll change this to award the point if the game is won even if other human players have left.
* In campaign mode, when finishing a level, you may get a prompt to sign in to post to leaderboards even though you're signed in. We're still trying to track this down so if you get this, mail support@skullsoftheshogun.com with info as to what kind of profile you (gold, silver, etc), what controller your were playing (1-4), if you had other profiles or controllers signed in/connected, and what matches you played (eg 3 campaign levels, or 1 Skulls Online match then 1 campaign level, etc.)

Skulls Anywhere
* A crash that happens in Potion Panic, based on how the potions are discovered.
* An issue where a monk can become out of sync, existing for one player but not another.
* You won't be awarded achievements for winning a MP match in Skulls Anywhere if your opponent resigns, or if it's a team game and you're the 2nd team member.
* An out of sync issue that occurs when players are summoning Oni - still trying to reproduce this one, if you have more explicit info please mail support@skullsoftheshogun.com

Windows Phones
* On Windows 8 Phones only - Loading an autosave immediately for a turn where you haunt a shrine may not produce a monk. Unfortunately these phones came out as the game was almost done, so we didn't get enough chance to test to realize the faster processors exposed a bug in the timing of the auto-save. Manually saving shouldn't have this problem, though.
* Windows HTC 8S graphic glitch - on the loading screen, and other places, text or other effects will be garbled. This was also found very late in the process. Micorosoft was supposed to disallow the game from being purchase on these phones until we fix it, but *that* had a bug in it too. If you've bought it on this phone it will be fixed in our patch.
* We also made a few fixes to make the touch controls less over-sensitive (applies to Windows 8 too).

Also some minor features we're adding:

* 90 second and 2 minute round time limits for local and Skull Online modes.
* If you fail to send a Skulls Anywhere turn because of a network connection problem, a dialog will pop up asking if you want to resend the turn. That allows you to fix your connection & resend immediately (currently you have to re-play the turn, unfortunately).
* Windows 8 will have a graphical performance adjustment option. The game currently tries to determine what level of effects your hardware can easily support and automatically adjusts, but this way people can manually turn it down. That way if you want a bigger framerate boost on slow hardware, you can decide for yourself.
