No longer able to download skulls of shogun on windows phone

Postby sgtmilko » Sun Apr 21, 2013 12:27 pm

In an attempt to fix the problem I have been having (see post "Lumia 620 Windows phone 8 graphical bug") I decided to reset my phone to see if that would make a difference.

when I tried to reinstall skulls of the shogun I couldn't find it in the store any more. eventually I found it when looking on the windowsphone.com website under my purchase history. the worrying thing is that it had the message "Your phone doesn't meet the minimum requirements needed to run this app". So I'm now in a situation where I can't even download it any more.

I spoke to someone at Microsoft to see if they had any ideas and they just said ask the developers. Have the requirements been changed recently? Has the game been pulled for the Lumia 620? How come I could download it before?

Yes (see also my post in the original thread) - we had found an issue on 512MB WinPhone 8's (we thought this was only the HTC8s), and MS had told us it would be blocked for purchase on these phones until we could fix it. Only their blocking didn't work, and got enabled very late.

The issue should be fixed, and hopefully the blocking should be lifted so you can download.

It still won't let me download it. It says my phone needs 1gb or more of ram.

I talked to MS and they said the restriction was lifted, but it talks a while for it to propagate to all the servers. Try again tonight/tomorrow and let me know if it's still blocked.

Ok, they double checked it and turns out there was a bug in the removal of the limitation. :) It should be available, accordining to them, by 3pm PST today (Fri 4/26/2013)

I'm afraid to say they still haven't removed the restriction.
