How to File A Good Bug Report

Postby 17-BIT Brett » Tue Jun 18, 2013 9:17 am

When leaving a bug report, following these steps will help us track it down as quickly as possible.

Title: Quick summary of the bug as a description of what happened.

Steps: List the steps of events leading up to the bug in the game and what you were doing.

Repeatability: What percentage of time can you get this bug to trigger if you do these steps? (This helps us know if we're tracking it down properly)

Crash Log: If the game crashed, it should leave a file named "GameCrash.txt" in the game's install directory. With Steam, this should be located in your SteamApps folder under:
SteamApps/common/Skulls of the Shogun/GameCrash.txt
- Attach this file to your post using the "Upload Attachment" button under the post body.

Computer Log: Run DxDiag and attach the log to your post.
To do this:
- Hit the Windows key and type "dxdiag" (no quotes) into the search box, hit Enter.
- Press the "Save All Information" button near the bottom of the window, save to a location.
- Attach the file to your post using the "Upload Attachment" button under the post body.

Example:
[BUG] Tanuki Monk's Teleport removes distance from Tanuki's Movement.
Steps:
    1. Setup and begin any match with the Tanuki Monk.
    2. Without moving the Tanuki monk, look at its remaining movement.
    3. Use the teleport spell.
    4. Look at the Tanuki Monk's remaining movement again.
Note that this doesn't occur on the target of the teleport, only the Tanuki.

Repeatability: 100%

Thanks for your help in making the game better!
