Windows 8 Black screen after install

We've seen a couple people have this issue on Windows 8, where the game starts up only with a black screen and you can't do anything.

It looks like the app did not download/install correctly. Unfortunately when this happens its also looks like Windows 8 does not let you uninstall it (probably because it didn't finish correctly installing).

If you still have problems uninstalling/reinstalling, try deleting the app files manually. Go to Desktop mode, open Windows Explorer and browse to C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Packages\ and delete the subfolder Microsoft.SkullsOfTheShogun_8wekyb3d8bbwe. Now go back to the store and download the game again (since you've already purchased it it should just download it immediately without buying it again).
